Manthan is the driving force behind ThisKrit, fuelled by a conviction that social media has lost its way — and that privacy should be the default, not a premium.

With hands-on experience across digital product, market research and user behaviour, he has a proven ability to find and fix the pain points people feel every day online.

He sees ThisKrit not just as a platform, but as a movement to redefine social media for a modern, privacy-conscious generation.

Aviral is the guy who actually builds the thing. The app, the servers, the encryption, the infrastructure — if it plugs in or throws an error at 2am, it's his.

Oh, and he built this website too. Yep, this exact one you're scrolling right now. So if a button ever misbehaves… you know precisely whose inbox to blow up. 😄

His whole mission: make ThisKrit fast, private, and genuinely nice to use — the kind of app you'd actually text to a friend instead of doom-scrolling alone.

From an idea to a movement

  1. January 2023

    The idea is born

    ThisKrit begins as a question: what would social media look like if it protected you? Early brainstorming with friends and colleagues shapes the vision.

  2. April 2023

    First working prototype

    A functional prototype brings the core ideas — Spaces, verified connections and privacy by default — to life for the first time.

  3. December 2023

    Sparks competition — £500 won

    ThisKrit takes part in the Sparks competition and wins £500 in funding to kickstart the project.

  4. 2025

    Full-scale development

    The team begins building ThisKrit in earnest, with a relentless focus on privacy, security and user experience.

  5. 2026

    Private beta

    ThisKrit enters private beta with the Oxford Brookes University community, refining the product with real people before a wider launch.
